This is for those of you who hated gym class like I did :) Wish I had a teacher like this, might have made gym tolerable. Of course I'm a klutz which didn't help so I could never ever ever do stunts like this guy does.

You all know I love retro stuff, pretty much anything from the 50's or 70's works for me. This was one of the stamps I purchased from sideshowstamps.com and I could not wait to come up with a good idea for her. I used my Copics to color her and my new embossing folder with the paisleys and just a few prima flowers. The saying is from a G stamp that I picked up at Michaels. They always have the right size for cards. If only I could find this coat I'd wear it all winter :)
Deb at the Pinkcatstudio challenged us to use one of our pinkcat stamps with a red and purple theme. This is my card I made. I am waiting with much anticipation for my Cat Plate 1 but in the meantime I love Tweet and she's so much fun to color. I also used SU glitter and glue and "embellished" plain gold brads for the corners. Now I have glitter all over my countertop but it was still fun to do.
I haven't had as much time to stamp as I wanted this weekend but this is one of my RAK's I made for the challenge on Friday. I had a lot of fun coloring this image. I used my prisma watercolor pencils and a blender pen. Lots of layers of cardstock and the saying is from a G stamp I think that I picked up at Michaels. Hope you all had a great weekend.
Last week I posted a photo of my oldest cat Morgan and my daughter Andrea. Well going through photos the other day I found this photo of Morgan and my daughter Andrea. Side by side we just couldn't believe how big they've both gotten :) Andrea was just 2 years old when Morgan came along and now she's 10 and Morgan will be 8 this July. When we first got Morgan we were not expecting to have any cats but a friend of mine had gone to KY for work with her husband. While they were there they noticed a neighbor down the road from where they were staying was using a bow and arrow and chasing something. Turns out it was this kitten and she got the kitten away from them and brought her home to IN. Well her kids all have severe allergies but the loved Morgan and wanted to keep her. After a few days they knew it would not work and I was the one who said yes. Morgan has been a big part of our lives for a long time now and we are lucky to have her. We also have two other cats Oliver and Emily and two dogs Lilly and Sam. More on the animal brood to come.

So what do you think about bleach? Do you use it on your whites? Do you feel it's environmentally safe? I know we use it at our house (the lemon fresh variety LOL) but I didn't know how harmful it was until I was reading about the faux bleach technique. Will I stop using it on my laundry? Probably no. If you saw my kids socks you'd know why. I think I am going to start buying only colorful socks. Anyway I digress, sorry. I am involved in a yahoo group that twice a month we have a challenge to follow. Our latest challenge involves faux bleaching and I have to admit it was rather fun to try. At first I thought I had a big mess and I was disappointed but I think when I cut out the image using my circle cutter it sort of made a focal point for the image and I was happier. I had a lot of fun putting this together last night and hope you like it. P.S. Look for it as a challenge soon!
Friday I challenged you try either Taylor's velvet brad technique or using fun flock on a card. I tried the brads and found it was super easy. Last night I dug out my chicken stamps and added the fun flock. I only have 2 colors yellow and white and I'm definitely going to need more. Hope you try it! Please link back and show us your work.
This is the card sketch I followed for our April Postabella swap. The theme was April Showers Bring May Flowers. Kim Doktor sent me the images in a trade and I love this bella. She is one I will be ordering soon. I colored her with my copics and added some sparkle to her shirt and used my prima flowers. But.........to work on my own Friday challenge I tried the velvet brad technique and it was so easy. I didn't have the glue pad Taylor used so I just used some of my clear glue and dipped the brads in my fun flock and let them dry. Very simple and lots of fun. Gives the flower a fuzzy fun look. Enjoy!
Soon as I saw this image from Inky Antics I knew it had to be mine. I loved it from the first time I saw it. My DD asks me where her face is LOL. I used my Copics to color it and then added some sparkles to her wrap and used my new favorite embossing folder. I had so much fun making her. Hope you like it.
Update this morning I posted the card again using a shot I took from my camera. I still need more lighting in my office but I am glad I see them side by side. My scanner seems to wash everything out.
I got the cutest email from Bere at http://berrybitchprincess.blogspot.com/ telling me she had selected me for the Arte Y Pico aka Art & More award.
