This is for those of you who hated gym class like I did :) Wish I had a teacher like this, might have made gym tolerable. Of course I'm a klutz which didn't help so I could never ever ever do stunts like this guy does.

Guess what? LOL. Another Lilly. I'm betting you all realize they are truly my favorite flower. I just love that they grow wild and have big blooms. I keep finding these great pots of them when I go to Walmart and so I always stop and take a photo. We bought a new (to us) house 2 years ago and so we haven't done much in the yard except plant my tiger lillies. Sappy story time.......one year when my DH and I were dating it was my birthday and he told me to get my old work boots on and wear jeans. I'm thinking oh boy what is up with this? We went out to the country by some old tracks and dug up some tiger lillys and took them home and planted them and they have now been transplanted to 3 houses. Still growing strong and fabulous. I think I'm a sucker for wildflowers or weeds as my DH calls them :)

The glow of electric sex gleaming in the window....
I've been struggling for awhile to do this image "justice" because it's such a fun piece of Christmas nostalgia. I colored the lamp and leg with my copics and then it sat for a few days until I could decide what to do. Friday night after work I just sat down and it all came together. I used my new embossing folder that reminded me of the wallpaper in my grandmas house and off I went. LOL. The only thing was I could not remember the exact saying from the movie just that it had something to do with the "glow of electric sex gleaming in the window".... so I used one of my Twisted Sentiment sayings from MFT and I think it turned out just fine. What are some of your favorite Christmas movies and why? Honestly mine are the old Santa Claus is Coming To Town, Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer etc. I love those. Hope you enjoy!

Flutterby from Rubbernecker
You know sometimes you have a good idea but it doesn't always turn out? This is one of those. I was trying to use red's and orange for the butterfly but I'm not sure I like how it came out. The image is from Rubbernecker and is one of my new stamps that I just received this week. I made the card for Danni's Flutterby Challenge each week at http://dannisdreamscrafts.blogspot.com/ but would I color it this way again? Probably not. However you can't move ahead without doing some weird stuff LOLLLLL. I have to try this again using different colors :)

Cats Rule Dogs Drool!
Sorry it's not the best photo but I was in such a hurry to show Marica that I actually made a card for her Friday challenge that I left it on my desk and took a quick shot of it. This cat is from Penny Black and the new saying I just received this week from Rubbernecker Stamps. I loved it and knew I had to have it in order to make a card for Marcia. In case you don't have it here is a link to her blog. Each Friday she has a "kitty cat challenge". http://www.ciabscraftytimes.blogspot.com/
Friday Challenge with some BLOG CANDY
Thank goodness it's Friday! I have a challenge for you today that I hope you enjoy and not only cuz I am offering up some "candy". LOL. Todays challenge will be pretty easy I promise! Please use a "tool" that you haven't used in awhile. It can be a brayer, sponge, deckle scissors or whatever you find to play with that you haven't looked at for awhile. Link back and show us your cards and on Monday I will post a winner. Fair nuff? Have a great weekend!

Thursday Travels
http://zindorf.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/
You are about to go on a journey and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. I somehow (thankfully) stumbled across her work about a week ago and I've been going through and looking at all her tutorials and am so amazed. What a beautiful job she does.

Wash Your Worries Away
This stamp and saying are from Treehousestamps.com and are available as individual stamps so they are inexpensive and cute. What a deal! My daughter and I were playing with these the other night and it's funny how two people can look at the same image and come up with something so different. Her bathtub was cute, she colored it dark blue. If she will let me I'll post a shot of it later. I was hoping when I took this photo you'd be able to see the glitter pen I used on the bubbles. Anyway this layout was very similar to one on the card I got from Korin with my Olivia set and I thought it would make a fun quick card to send to some friends. Hope you are having a great morning.

A Rose...
My friend Angie brought this stamp with her to my house to use for a challenge she was working on and she graciously allowed me to "borrow" it. LOL. What that means is it gets to stay at my house hahahha. Anyway I made this card for a new online friend this month. Hope she likes it! Have you made any flower cards this week? Don't forget to share if you post them. Enjoy your hump day!

Lovely Lavendar Orchid
Ashley from treehousestamps.com has a new blog feature called Brainwave Wednesday. This past Wednesday was a sketch she created and this card is what I made using her example. It was the first time I had a chance to use my new orchid stamp and I love it. It's an individual stamp so you can get it by itself without a set. I colored it using my prisma watercolor pencils and my blender pen.
Hope you have a great evening!
Mod Girl
You all know I love retro stuff, pretty much anything from the 50's or 70's works for me. This was one of the stamps I purchased from sideshowstamps.com and I could not wait to come up with a good idea for her. I used my Copics to color her and my new embossing folder with the paisleys and just a few prima flowers. The saying is from a G stamp that I picked up at Michaels. They always have the right size for cards. If only I could find this coat I'd wear it all winter :)

Monday Tweets
Deb at the Pinkcatstudio challenged us to use one of our pinkcat stamps with a red and purple theme. This is my card I made. I am waiting with much anticipation for my Cat Plate 1 but in the meantime I love Tweet and she's so much fun to color. I also used SU glitter and glue and "embellished" plain gold brads for the corners. Now I have glitter all over my countertop but it was still fun to do.
Favorite Flower
I love Tiger Lillies and when I saw these outside the store yesterday I had to stop and take a photo. My new cameraphone doesn't do too bad does it? They were just so pretty after being watered and sitting in the sun. What is your favorite flower? I have a stamp on order that I hope looks as good as these. How about a flower challenge for today? I know it's not Friday but if you have time this week please share what you make with your favorite flowers. Enjoy your Monday!

RAK - Thinking of you
I haven't had as much time to stamp as I wanted this weekend but this is one of my RAK's I made for the challenge on Friday. I had a lot of fun coloring this image. I used my prisma watercolor pencils and a blender pen. Lots of layers of cardstock and the saying is from a G stamp I think that I picked up at Michaels. Hope you all had a great weekend.

Excited!
http://inkydoodle.blogspot.com/
Yayyyy I am excited. I logged onto my email tonight and read on Korin's blog that my card called A Mothers Love (that I posted on Tuesday) was the one she picked for her challenge winner. She's going to send me some of her handmade cards. I can't wait, I love her work.

Interesting Morning - Earthquake!
Right before the alarm went off this morning I was having this weird dream that my car wasn't driving right and I realized it wasn't my car and that I was at home and my house was shaking. I woke up my husband but didn't tell him why because I was half afraid he wouldn't feel the house moving but he did. We sat there for a couple seconds saying "wow" and then it was over. Did you all feel it?

Friday Challenge
Today is my normal challenge day and I'd like to do something different. Instead of a technique or color or pattern, I'd like you to send out 2 RAK's. Please send one RAK to a friend or someone special and one to a family member. Remember RAK's are for any reason at all so the card can be funny or it can be pretty or just anything at all. Have fun! Please let us know when you are done but you don't have to tell us who so as not to spoil it. Enjoy the day!

Thursday Travels
I found this tutorial just absolutely perfect. It can be used for a man's card but also anything to do with nature or the GO GREEN Tree from Treehouse Stamps. I cannot wait to try it.

Have you seen these? I am thinking now that we know how to "flock" our brads we could try glitter.

Wed Funny
Last week I posted a photo of my oldest cat Morgan and my daughter Andrea. Well going through photos the other day I found this photo of Morgan and my daughter Andrea. Side by side we just couldn't believe how big they've both gotten :) Andrea was just 2 years old when Morgan came along and now she's 10 and Morgan will be 8 this July. When we first got Morgan we were not expecting to have any cats but a friend of mine had gone to KY for work with her husband. While they were there they noticed a neighbor down the road from where they were staying was using a bow and arrow and chasing something. Turns out it was this kitten and she got the kitten away from them and brought her home to IN. Well her kids all have severe allergies but the loved Morgan and wanted to keep her. After a few days they knew it would not work and I was the one who said yes. Morgan has been a big part of our lives for a long time now and we are lucky to have her. We also have two other cats Oliver and Emily and two dogs Lilly and Sam. More on the animal brood to come.

A Mothers Love
I was going to wait until tomorrow to post this card but I have something funny for Wednesday humor day so I decided to go ahead and post this tonight. I made this card for Korin at Inkydoodle's last challenge. It was a sketch challenge and I thought it would be fun to stamp an image and then cut it into pieces. I also got to use one of my favorite sets that I ordered from her and hadn't used much of. If you haven't tried this technique you definitely should give it a go. Enjoy!
So what do you think about bleach? Do you use it on your whites? Do you feel it's environmentally safe? I know we use it at our house (the lemon fresh variety LOL) but I didn't know how harmful it was until I was reading about the faux bleach technique. Will I stop using it on my laundry? Probably no. If you saw my kids socks you'd know why. I think I am going to start buying only colorful socks. Anyway I digress, sorry. I am involved in a yahoo group that twice a month we have a challenge to follow. Our latest challenge involves faux bleaching and I have to admit it was rather fun to try. At first I thought I had a big mess and I was disappointed but I think when I cut out the image using my circle cutter it sort of made a focal point for the image and I was happier. I had a lot of fun putting this together last night and hope you like it. P.S. Look for it as a challenge soon!

Fun Flock Challenge
Friday I challenged you try either Taylor's velvet brad technique or using fun flock on a card. I tried the brads and found it was super easy. Last night I dug out my chicken stamps and added the fun flock. I only have 2 colors yellow and white and I'm definitely going to need more. Hope you try it! Please link back and show us your work.
Tree House Stamps Go Green
The first time I saw this tree it reminded me of a tree in the back field behind my grandparents farm house. I don't know why but I think we all loved that tree and sitting under it. I knew this stamp would be perfect to make, simple but elegant cards for thinking of you, sympathy or even a guys birthday. This brought back many happy memories of growing up around my grandparents.

Double Challenge Weekend
This is the card sketch I followed for our April Postabella swap. The theme was April Showers Bring May Flowers. Kim Doktor sent me the images in a trade and I love this bella. She is one I will be ordering soon. I colored her with my copics and added some sparkle to her shirt and used my prima flowers. But.........to work on my own Friday challenge I tried the velvet brad technique and it was so easy. I didn't have the glue pad Taylor used so I just used some of my clear glue and dipped the brads in my fun flock and let them dry. Very simple and lots of fun. Gives the flower a fuzzy fun look. Enjoy!
Diva For A Day
Soon as I saw this image from Inky Antics I knew it had to be mine. I loved it from the first time I saw it. My DD asks me where her face is LOL. I used my Copics to color it and then added some sparkles to her wrap and used my new favorite embossing folder. I had so much fun making her. Hope you like it.

Tweet Plate Pink Cat Studio
Update this morning I posted the card again using a shot I took from my camera. I still need more lighting in my office but I am glad I see them side by side. My scanner seems to wash everything out.
I decided to try scanning versus my camera and I definitely don't like the way it turned out. I received my new Tweet Plate from Pinkcatstudio today and I absolutely love it. These little birds are so much fun. I think tomorrow I'll use my camera and load a photo and compare the two side by side.

Arte y pico Award from Bere
I got the cutest email from Bere at http://berrybitchprincess.blogspot.com/ telling me she had selected me for the Arte Y Pico aka Art & More award.
This award is given to bloggers who share their art creations through blogging and here are the rules...
1. You have to pick five blogs that you consider deserve this award for their creativity, design, interesting material, and also contribute to the blogging community, no matter what language.
2. Each award has to have the name of the author and also a link to his or her blog to be visited by everyone
3. Each award winner has to show the award and put the name and the link to the blog that has given her or him the award itself
4. Award-winner and the one who has given the prize have to show the link of Arte y Pico blog, so everyone will know the origin of this award.
It was really difficult because there are more than 5 I'd have chosen but these are the ones I've seen such great ideas from lately and they weren't the same ones Bere chose LOL.
