Bones Part Deux

So last week I introduced you to "Bones" and I shared a photo taken a couple months ago. Well a few weeks ago when my lovely DD somehow got a freshly sharpened pencil stuck in her arm during a test at school.................we visited our favorite family doctor and got lucky enough to have the room shared by Bones. HOWEVER as you can see Bones wasn't faring so well. Somebody broke his jaw and his leg. It took so long to get "the lead out" that I didn't ask what happened to him at the time. I do solemnly swear it was not anyone in our family! We liked him and enjoyed seeing him when we visited.

No it's not a card or a scrapbook page but it is something I made for my son. I bought the B and the football at Jo Ann's and painted it with Acrylics. Now I'm waiting to seal it and then my DH will put on a stake for our yard. GO DAWGS!

Fall Sunflower

Sunday is usually a pretty low-key day for our family. It normally involves some cleaning, working in the garage (which is never ending......) and today since my (*DF*DF&^) back hurts I stayed in my office and worked on straightening up a bit. It's still seems such a mess but I promise it's better than it was and like Nicey says on Clean have to start somewhere. And wow my room has never looked like those people. It's comical to watch.

This card was based off a card I made during a SU punch class at my friend Nancy's. This is my "redone" version of it. I keep all the cards I make during her classes for my patterns and then sometimes recreate them at home. This one is super easy if you have the oval shaped punches from SU. I LOVE SU PUNCHES. Have a great Sunday.

Tag You Are It

I’ve been tagged by Susan at

Just so you know, here are the rules for ya:
1. Link your tagger and list these rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as their blog.

1. I have a wicked sense of humor. Insert Evil laugh here :)
2. I'm a news junkie. I watch CNN and The Weather Channel a lot. I also read the newspaper daily.
3. I'm psychic - I already knew Clay Aiken was gay. I mean seriously this is news????Ok so maybe my family and friends would say psycho not psychic. If that darn Psycho Stamper Debby LOL hadn't taken the name I'd have used that instead but I'm certain being a Diva suits me :)
4. Ummm running out of ideas here. My favorite color is Red. Bet you never would have guessed that.
5. I absolutely LOVE to read. My favorites are mysteries and I can finish a book in a day. I read very fast.
6. Have you seen the cartoon Pearls Before Swine? It's my favorite cartoon. I'd love to meet the creator. I'm sure we were twins separated at birth. Seriously it's one you follow for a long time and it's even funnier over time. Check it out on - I have it sent to my email each day and it's one of the first things I look for each morning.
7. My family and my friends are the most important thing in the world to me. Value your friendships, they are your greatest treasure and your support system.

Ok enough about me. Since everyone I know has already been tagged..........I'm going to pick the one person that I love who has recently started stamping again.........LOL....
ANGIE. Her blog is and she made a beautiful halloween card today. Go check her out.

Have a blesssed day.

Flourish Fun

I think I love flourishes. One of the card swaps I'm in for September is to make anything with a flourish on it. I am having fun with this challenge and think it's been a lot of fun. I only have a couple flourish stamps but they are so versatile I think you can do a lot of different things with them. What are some of your favorite stamps to use?

Meet Bones

I don't know about you but I spend too much time at our Doctors due to having children who play sports and me being a KLUTZ and well that lovely FLU season is when we are there we look for things to entertain us and keep us occupied. Although we are very lucky our Dr. very rarely keeps us waiting long. Seriously he's the best. Anyway - in one of the rooms there is a skeleton that we've nicknamed Bones. Sometimes (and I'll never admit when LOL) we like to leave things with Bones to make people laugh. A few months ago I was there and I swear my son (who is 14) and not with me at the time possessed me and took me over (sort of like Freaky Friday) and persuaded me to leave Bones with a laugh for the next person.

Challenge Time

A combo challenge killed two cards with one stone LOL. I wanted to try using my scor-pal and making a card for the last challenge and also need to make a card using for my CTRUS group. The background was made scoring my lines every half inch and then turning the card to do the second row of lines. The ribbon is some very pretty teal someone sent me as an RAK and then my image was one I picked up at HL a long time ago. I stamped it in white pigment ink and then while it was still wet I colored the image with chalks. My swap partner has received it so I was safe to post. Hope you have a great Friday!

Not having so much fun this week. I have to wear this boot/cast thing for 6 weeks which means I have about 5 weeks to go and yesterday I somehow was walking too fast and started to lose my balance and twisted my back. Now I can't sit, stand, walk, lie down without wanting to scream. I am off to see the Dr. today which I know means muscle relaxers and I'm not good about taking meds but I'm so cranky that I guess I better. I'll be posting Thursday Travel later today so please be patient with me :)

Hahahhahah seriously I even had to call Angie last night and tell her. I have not scrapped for like ummmmmm 5 years. I felt so stupid about the whole thing that I found an old scrapbook magazine and followed a layout LOL. I was very unsure of myself but I think it turned out pretty well. I told Miss Susan at( last week that it was the same as making a card but just I figured if I could run my mouth then I better back it up hahahahaha. These pages are from my son's first home football game this year. I had so much fun making them that I think I'll be doing more. Check up on me!

Beautiful Angel

I received this absolutely gorgeous grunge of an Angel from Danni for our Spotlight Month. Can you say Fabulous? I love her. Thanks so much Danni!

Can you say Holy Crap I'm huge? Yep this is my friend Dawn's new dog. While he's certainly adorable - HE IS GINORMOUSSSSSSSSS. And he really seems so sweet. We have enjoyed him.

Flying Monkeys

This card was sooo much fun to make. I made it especially for Danni who is the Diva this month and is the newest Design Team Member for Missy B. I tried a lot of things on this card but I think it all came together nicely. And I love my new punch! Congratulations Danni!

My Workspace

Now that my husband is sharing my office space I really need to reorganize. Besides adding more totes which I have everywhere you have any ideas to help me store all my much loved items? I'm just looking to organize better. Is it this challenging for everyone or just me?

Wednesday Funny

Very quietly she confided to her husband on the eve of their 50th anniversary,
that she was having an affair.
He turned to her and asked, 'Are you having it catered'?
And that, my friend, is the definition of'OLD'!!!!

Oh Grow Up!

I can't believe I forgot to post yesterday LOL. What was I thinking? In honor of Danni getting chosen to be on the Missy B design team.......all the birthday cards I neede to make this month were Missy B. I ordered these from her awhile back and never sat down to mount them. I HATE mounting. I know it is cheaper but it's such a pain that I'd rather pay a bit more and get them at least with foam already on them. I don't need wood just the foam sticky stuff. Anyway I paper pieced them and tried to use some funky retro sort of fall looking paper I had. I thought they were quite cute so for those of you who have September not look........hahahah.

Are you ready for some FOOTBALL?

GO DAWGS! We won our first game this past week at home. This week we play against another great team so wish us luck. My son Brad is #61.

Another Fabulous Fall Day

What a rainy gloomy day here in Indiana but we need the rain so badly that it's ok. Even if it's the weekend LOL. We've suffered a drought here this summer and our yard is brown and the farmers are expecting quite a bit less yield from corn and soybeans so better late than never. My daughters game was cancelled today so I hope to get some stamping done! Wooo hooo. I love any extra time I can get. As you can tell I've been on a fall theme and this card was made for a Sketch Challenge. Have you ever thought hey that looks good, mailed it off and then looked at the photo and realized you screwed something up? Hahhahaha. Check out my background. The embossed flourish is facing the wrong way LOLLLLL. I hope my partner doesn't mind :) It was made with love. Just remember that. Oh my gosh I keep laughing now when I see it. SORRY. Have a fabulous Saturday and hope the weather is better where you are!

Fabulous Flourish

On the fabulous Diva group our September challenge was to create cards using a flourish. I know my friend Angie will know how long I've struggled to use this paticualar TAC stamp LOL.

I bought it since my DH is a train nerd but have since not been happy with any card I've attempted to make UNTIL NOW! I took the stamp and inked it using Close to Cocoa and then trimmed the edges and sponged them with the same Close to Cocoa. Finally I wadded up a piece of scrap paper and rubbed more than mustard over the image to help "age" it. The flourish was stamped on mustard colored cardstock using the same cocoa ink and then again using the same scrap paper added dabs of ink. I can't wait til the next challenge Ladies :)

September 11, 2001

Do you remember where you were when you heard the news that the World Trade Center Towers had been hit? I do. My daughter had just started her first day of "pre-school". She was three years old and I remember thinking our lives will change. I drove by my sons elementary school just to visually see it standing in one piece and realize that while my kids were safe so many lost parents and family members that day. We have a family friend who is over in Iraq in order to protect the lives of innocent victims and while I wait for his safe return I pray for everyone in our country along with our leaders to protect us and bring our troops home safely.

Thursday Travel

Today I thought I'd do something a little different for Thursday Travel. A few days ago we were sitting in the kitchen and I looked out the patio door and saw this really cool hot air balloon in the sky. We all watched it for awhile wondering where they were going and what it would be like to ride in one. I can imagine (if you are not afraid of heights) that it would be peaceful, relaxing and quite beautiful. Tell me would you ride in one given the chance?

Are you ready?

I don't know about you but I'm ready for fall. I'm looking forward to cooler weather, kids football games, hoodies (sweatshirts) and a harvest moon. I picked up this stamp a long time ago at a convention and I still love it, mostly due to the funny saying. I've never had copics before though so this is my first year making it so "bright". I LOVE Halloween always have and still do even though I skip most of the candy these days. :)

Never Ending Card

So have you ever made a Never Ending Card? It was my turn to pick a challenge on the CTRUS group I am on and I think I drove everyone crazeeee. LOL. Including me! While the directions were very easy on the scoring part especially if you have a Scor-pal....I had difficulty understanding the folds and flipping it different ways. Once I got it though I had tons of fun with it. If you are up to a difficult challenge then I suggest this one. I ended up enjoying it a lot and I appreciate the easy directions and pictures that Vicki put together.

Sympathy Cards

Unfortunately for me I've had a lot of these to make lately. I followed a card sent to me earlier this year by a fabulous card maker Julia on the CTRUS group. Mine are nowhere near as pretty as hers but I think they came out ok. I made a couple to keep on hand in different colors. I used a fabulous set from Gina K and some various ink pads. Very simple yet nice.

Happy Birthday

This is a Z Fold card made for a challenge on the ScorPal group. It's so easy if you have a scorpal. I just love mine! The stamps are both older from SU that I hadn't inked up in years LOL. And yes colored with my copics. Hope you are all having a great Labor Day!
