Friday Challenge

It's Friday Babyyyyyyyyy. That means it's time for a challenge. Looking back at Dannis beautiful truck with faux glass and the difficulty I had this week coming up with a birthday card for a guy.........I'd like to challenge everyone to create some masculine cards. Create a card for any guy in your life and provide the link for us to see. Enjoy!

Gina K Bday Card

I LOVE THIS SET :) I have a friend at work who is actually a true leap year baby. I wanted to make him a funny birthday card but all week I've been stuck and today Gina K made it possible. So Jim who will officially turn 9 tomorrow - Happy Leap Year Birthday!

Lovin Gina K

I was so excited when I came home tonight after the wrestling meet and saw I had my Gina K order. I have been procrastinating on a couple cards for guys and now they are done. I am sure hoping this one is going to a guy with a sense of humor. LOL. Oh what guy do you know that has no toilet humor? Hmmm? :) Even my husband laughed!

March Bella Swap Card

Do you ever just really struggle to get going on a card? I did this time and it was all I could do to get this done for this swap. I had the idea to use Bookwormabella and no matter what I did I was not happy with the card. I finally gave up and found some images I had received in a swap and thought they looked very "springy". WOO HOOO I am all caught up on swaps now. I am looking forward to working on some different card sketchs that everyone has posted.

RAK - Tracy

I received the nicest RAK today from Tracy Smith. I know I didn't do it justice, still practicing with the new camera. My funny DH didn't know it was handmade, he actually thought it was from a store. It's soooo pretty. I really appreciate all the nice sentiments everyone has sent after my grandmother passed away. My sister and I were very close to her and it's been difficult to realize she's gone but I know she is in heaven and I am happy about that!

New Camera

Well today I finally got a new digital camera. It's a Sony Cybershot with a 15x optical zoom which is something my previous camera was sorely lacking. It also has a great macro button for close up card details so I hope to be using it a lot in the next few days. Tonight my son had another wrestling meet and it was a rough one. He lost Varsity and won Junior Varsity. I took about 6 photos and I really liked only 1 or 2 so I have more playing with options to do. Wish I had time to stamp today but work and wrestling took up my whole day LOL. Enjoy your week!

Double Challenge Card

This is my answer to using an "OLD" stamp and using a kitty for Marcia's kitty cat Friday challenge. I used my prisma watercolors and a blender pen on this really cute Penny Black stamp. I think I purchased it at a convention several years ago and I cannot believe I hadn't used it before today. I love it.

Friday Challenge

Today's challenge is to use an OLD stamp or set. Look around at your nice neat rows of stamps on your shelves (hahahahhaha) and pick one out that is maybe a few years old and that you forgot you had. Ink it up and show us what you made. That is the challenge on the stampcrazycolorbox yahoo group for today. Enjoy!

Javabella!

I made this card for a swap with papermakeupKatie on the bellaholic yahoo group. We were to make a complete card but not color the bella images. I didn't realize how difficult that would be :) This is my extra one that I colored.

I've been tagged by Deb!

1. Stamping Style: I like divaish looking things so that's why bellas appeal to me. I like clean lines.
2. Inspiration: BLOGS. I love to see other peoples work, so many talented stampers.
3. Color: I like red and pink and brown alot but I let my paper decide usually. Love retro paper. 4. Work Space: I have a really nice office/craft space in our house that my DH helped me put together.
5. Perfect day: I should say something really nice and meaningful but my perfect day right now would be for my kids not to argue LOL.
6. First Job: At a library. I love to read so my entire family thought it would be pefect. I hated it.
7. Wildest dream: To be able to go back to school!
8. Ink: I mainly use Stazon and StampinUP inks but I've been told Brilliance doesn't smear with my new COPICS.........must get some soon.
9. Family: Husband Jason, Children Brad and Andrea. Two dogs and three cats :)
10. Beverage: Coke, Lipton Sweet Tea and Chai Latte.
11. Biggest Challenge: How to make my kids get along?????
And I tag? ANGIE!

RAK - Julia

I received this beatuiful sympathy card from Julia on the cardtraders yahoo group. I lost my grandma last week and it's been very difficult as we were very very close and I spent a lot of time with her growing up. Thanks Julia for thinking of me.

Blue/Grey Combo Folded Flap

I made this card after having a "blonde" moment. This card was made for couple challenges that I combined into one. I was chosen to pick the February color challenge for the StampCrazyColorBox yahoo group and I also had to complete a card to send out on the Cardtrader yahoo group. I hope my challenge partner likes it. I used Stampin Up Cardstock and a retired set that I must have purchased years ago as it was foam rubber! How long has it been since SU quit selling foam stamps? Yow! I used my twinkling h20's that a sweetie from the bellaholic yahoo group sent me and they are so pretty. Enjoy!

First Post!

I've been debating on starting a "blog" for quite awhile but have been a lazy stamper. I enjoy reading others but finally took the plunge. Be patient with me while I learn how to work the blog thing! :)
