I really loved this sketch by Maria and had a ton of fun making it. I'm also thankful I'm starting to get some growth in the flowerbed because I was bored with my photos. LOL. I hope you are having some great weather this week and enjoying Spring!

Monday's Sketch for Template Tuesday 050409

I decided to do something a little different this week. Here is the sketch that the TemplatesRUs girls will be using on Tuesday. It was created by our lovely Miss Maria. I'm showing it to you early so you can play along. Please use the sketch and send me the link so we can all enjoy it. I hope you'll join us this week! If you can't do it by Tuesday don't worry just do it when you can. :)

PS - stay tuned for Template Tuesday!

It's that time of year!

My daughter is very excited to have her softball season started. They played their first game Saturday night and it was so close the entire game. We lost 12-11 but it was in extra innings thanks to Dre who caught the last out and put them in the extra inning. :)

You go girl!

Home Sweet Home 050109

WELCOME to May! I cannot wait for better and warmer weather. We've had so much cold and rainy days lately that I'm feeling blah. Today is another cloudy day but at least we can hope for no rain until tomorrow. I am looking forward to planting some flowers and putting out the new landscaping stuff but I don't do it until after Mother's Day because that's about when our weather seems to settle down.

I thought this paper was pretty springy with all the flowers so I paired it up with ModernSugarBlvds Our Pretty House which you can find here. They have so many cute images right now including a coffe house, an ice cream shop and the flower shop. Which is your favorite?

Thursday Thank You 043009

I'm sure most of you are familar with Card Sketch A Day but sometimes I like to look at it when

I have no mojo. I thought this one was such a great idea and had to share. Simple but so cute when you need a few quick thank you's.

Prom Season 042909

It's that time of year isn't it? Do you remember your prom? Did you enjoy it and have a good time? I went my Junior year but not my Senior year but had a lot of fun because I went with a friend and there was no pressure except to have a good time. LOL. My twin nephews had their first prom this year so I was instructed by my sister to come and take photos :) I swear they are twins but are fraternal so they don't really look alike. And yes Dillon does occasionally smile just not in any prom photos. Some of you may remember that last year he was in a really bad accident over spring break and we were very glad that he had no major injuries. Dustin is the blonde and the youngest of the two. I think they both looked very handsome and I know my sister is very proud.

Template Tuesday 042809

I had sooooooooooooo much fun with this sketch today. Can you feel my frustration after class? LOL. The past couple days I was unable to really see what to do with this sketch and then today I just "got it" LOL. Ok maybe it was because I was frustrated after leaving school and then happened to look over on my work desk and see this stamp......I couldn't stop laughing. Hope you all enjoy your day! Thanks for a great sketch Kimmie!

Template Tuesday 042109

Today our sketch came from Melinda and as soon as I saw it I thought it would make a great masculine card. I had fun with this one and just in case you can't read it....it says "A wise man once said...Follow your dreams except the one you're in your underwear at work. LOL. Sorry about the photo not being wonderful, my camera is not up and running so I used my cell phone. Hope you have a great day and make sure to visit all the Template tuesday girls blogs.

Template Tuesday 041409

Here it is almost 8pm and I completely forgot to load my card for Template Tuesday. I'm telling you between school and my son I'm worn out :) Brad has a lot going on right now and so I'm not always keeping everything in the correct slots in my brain. Today our sketch came from Melinda and it's really cool. I turned mine on it's side but this is definitely one I'll be using again. Please make sure you visit the other girls blogs for some cool cards. Enjoy!

Thursday Thank You 040909

Isn't this lovely? I readlly like the colors and the image! Danni sent it to me for joining the Flutterby Team. I sure can't wait until life/school settles down so I can get back to it :) I really appreciate you Danni!

Happy Easter From PPS 040809

Happy Easter! He is risen! Hope you are all having a great day. This wonderful image is from Lindsay at PinkPaperyStudios and I think it's wonderful. I printed it on regular cardstock and colored it with my Copics. I used some fun polkadot papers that Amy sent me from PPS and then embellished with a flower, ribbon and some dots (again from Amy). Man I love those things :)

Make sure you check out the website and see what's new! Also check the other DT bloggers they have some fun things for you to see.

Wednesday Fun 040809

Another photo from Florida :) this one is at Universal and we had so much fun with Donkey. He told my son hey move out of the way you're in front of the money maker LOL. Then the whole time he was singing "I'm bringing Sexy back"......my daughter was cracking up. The whole crew does such a good job there.

I will be back later today with a great Easter card from PinkPaperyStudios....stay tuned!

Template Tuesday 040709

I am so crazy busy trying to catch up from vacation and this is my first week back to school and this semester I have four classes instead of three so I didn't have a lot of time to work ahead. I whipped this one up in about 3 minutes LOL. Oh and this week it's my sketch so I probably should have done more but I just need more time aughghghghghg. Anyone have any tips for getting thru Psychology? LOL. Please visit the other Template Tuesday bloggers!!!!

I'm back! 040609

Welcome back from Florida - we have snow/rain mixes here today. I can't really say the weather was all the great in Florida either though. Lots of rain in the morning and haze/fog throughout the day. No one got any sunburns! I have to show you my favorite picture. Yep it's my favorite one from all the shots I took. We were at a place called Silver Springs in Ocala. My dad used to take us there as kids and I took my husband there two years ago when he and I visited Florida. This year we took the kids as well and it was a very nice break from Universal and all the lines. If you ever get a chance to visit, don't pass it up. It's a wonderful place to learn about alligators and ride the glass bottom boats and see how the spring originates. My family was searching for alligators but what we didn't know was as soon as we got down the bridge there were a ton of them waiting to be fed. We bought the food (1.00 a bag) and fed them. They don't stress out too much there I'll tell ya LOL. The food is a mixture of chicken, vegetables and vitamins seriously looks like poop. Doesn't smell so good either but they sure love it. We had a really good day there. *** I'll be posting tomorrow for Template Tuesday so stay tuned!

It's OVER! 032609

Yayyyyyyyy all my finals are over! My last one was this morning and I'm so relieved. My first semester is done and I am very glad. Tomorrow I start my vacation and it's very much needed :) I'll see you in a week or so. Enjoy your spring break!

Flutterby Wednesday 032509

Today is a sad day for me, it's my last day to be on the Flutterby Team but you know sometimes you have to rearrange your schedule and April is going to be a very busy month for me. Thankfully Danni has been gracious enough to allow me to play again when time permits. Today we had a sketch challenge from Maria and it's a great sketch. Unfortunately for me for some reason my pc would not download the sketch or save it. I finally had a peek at it in very tiny size at the bottom of Danni's email so I hope I got everything LOL. If you check Danni's blog not only will she have the sketch for you to look at she's also having BLOG CANDYYYYYYYYYYYY. Yep it's the 50th week of her Flutterby Wednesday so please check out what she has in store for you!

Also this week is Catherine St. Clair is her guest designer so there is a lot for you to see. Have a great Wednesday everyone!

PPS DT Challenge 032509

I LOVE this sketch!!! I only wish I had a scallop big enough for it :( Guess I'll be checking into some bigger circle nesties LOL.
This slug bug is super cute isn't it? Makes you wish you had one to go out cruisin in! I left my sentiment off for now so that I am able to use the card for anything upcoming. I can't wait to make another one using retro orange. :)

Template Tuesday 032409

This week our sketch came to us via Kimmie and I'm sad to say this is her last week with us. She has so much going on that it was time for her to cut back and I have to say I understand completely. I was a little at a loss on this sketch so I rotated it and ended up using it as a thank you for my daughters basketball coach. She did such a good job this year with the girls and I know we all appreciated her very much. *** If you don't have any copics you should at least try the skin colored one.......just a recommendation from me LOL. I love my copics.

Monday Madness

Well it's my "finals week" for my first semester at school and I'm very relieved to have made it! I had a paper due in one class and two finals to complete this week. Tomorrow is my Med Term and Thursday is Anat Physiology. I'm more worried about that one but I know it will be fine. I've been reviewing and studying a lot lately. Next week is Spring Break and we are taking a vacation and it's MUCH needed at this point LOL. My blog will be on hold next week so I hope you'll be patient and take some time with me to enjoy yourself! You deserve it!
