Causeabella

I haven't played with my Bellas in such a long time. I missed them! I read through some of the emails and realized the Bella Group is now doing Friday challenges and this layout was from the last challenge. If you want a peek at the orginal layout make sure you look at Bella Sistah Sarah's blog. http://scrampinmama.blogspot.com/ Just as a reminder if you recall my previous post on Cup For Kim this is the card I am sending her to let her know people are thinking of her during her fight with Breast Cancer. No matter who wins it was a lot of fun to get my Bellas back out and play with the sistahs!

A New Thursday Feature!

I'm thinking some weeks you may get a Thursday Travel and some weeks you may get a Thursday Tutorial that caught my eye. Today is your lucky day and you get BOTH :)

This one is a bit differnt because not only do I make cards but I've also been known to scrapbook in a previous life as well as bead or make jewelry. As a result of that I still get some interesting blogs and this one seems to combine a lot of these abilities. I hope you check them out and have FUN.

These tuts will help you make some fun easy Halloween pins and earrings and I promise you probably already have these items at home! (PS check your kids stash too! LOL)

Did you know?

That yes you can play football with a broken thumb? Yep we had our son Brad break his thumb last Monday night during football practice and he played on Tuesday after he got his cast. His best friend Nick broke his during the freshman game on Thursday and continued playing. He got his cast on Friday. We are calling them Dumb and Dumber LOL.

BRAD NICK

Wednesday Humor

So I work in a cubicle all day in the same environment of Dilbert hence the reason I have his link right on my blog for your viewing enjoyment. After spending many hours in cubicle hell I thought this fun game was quite enjoyable. I scored: DESTRUCTION 83%, THROW DISTANCE 52%, OVERALL SCORE 67%........hmmmm seems I need to work on my throwing techniques! LOL.

My kind of Diva

Isn't she a special Diva? Yet another TAC stamp from my dear friend Angie. I went to borrow the Flamingo and she gave me this to use as well. Since I needed a card for a sketch I thought this one fit perfectly! She was a ton of fun to make....pardon the pun.

I am the Pink Flamingo........

On the great lawn of life...........I saw this sentiment someplace and just cracked up. Immediately I knew I had to find a flamingo stamp and make a card. Sure enough my friend Angie had Flamingos and loaned them to me. I know she was wondering what I was up too but I just had to use the saying. We have this ongoing funny fundraiser here locally where people get flamingoed in order to raise money for charity and my neighbor woke up one morning to find his lawn all pink. We laughed over that one. Anyway I love flamingos and even got 2 of them off of freecycle recently hahahahahaha. ENJOY whatever makes you laugh.

HOT Sunday

Ok I'm really wondering what is with the weather here? It's so darn hot today I had to turn the a/c back on. Seriously it's hot. I went to pick up something from another freecycler and I drove my cabrio with the top down and started sweating and trust me Diva's are not fond of that. LOL. It was a nice day out though to get our halloween lights hung up and work in the yard. I planted a new rose bush this year and I still have gorgeous roses on it. I also had a chance to get a couple different cards made. Very different for me but really funny so I hope you like them as I get them posted this week. I know Angie will love them :) Have a blessed Sunday.

Happy Haunting

Well I was going to wait until tomorrow to post this card since I already posted one this morning but I just can't. Anyone who knows me will tell you I have absolutely NO patience :) It's hard to sit and wait on anything, it about kills me waiting on swaps and cards LOL. This was the first image I colored when I downloaded the digi stamps from Amy at http://www.scentfullyyours.blogspot.com/ and I have to say I love this witch. She's a lot of fun to color and make cards with. I added a few brads aka bats for embellishment but that's about it. I really wanted the witch to be the focal point. Simple but so much fun. Tell me if you like digital stamps and what are your favorite things about it.

Happy Birthday Friend

Happy Fall Birthday to my friend! This is also an older SU set (ON FOAM) hahahah that I dug out because I still think it's so pretty. It was stamped using Brilliance Ink and colored using my Copics. I had some flat buttons and some leftover rafia that I added to embellish it. I have a few different sets of halloween and fall lying on my desk right now for inspiration. It's supposed to be a gorgeous day here but a little too warm for me - in the 80's. WHERE is my fall weather????

I know Angie prefers it this way but I am ready for some fall! Have a great weekend.

Cup for Kim - Shower her with cards ladies

Ok so those of you who know me know that I am addicted to Higher Grounds Coffee. Seriously. I used to like Starbucks but I LOVE Higher Grounds. I pull up to the drive-thru and they know me before I order! LOL. The primary owner, Kim is fighting a pretty severe form of breast cancer. I really hope that you will join me in doing a few things if possible. #1 - if you are near Fort Wayne, New Haven or Indianapolis - GO GET A CUP OF COFFEE for Kim. #2 - Since we are a lot of ladies who make cards - please send one to her at the corporate office. #3 - Donate or walk for breast cancer in your area. #4 - Pray for Kim and all the others in her shoes.

New Haven vs. Carroll

Well even if Brad has a cast on he can still make the tackle. LOL. His cast is black fiberglass sort of but when he plays they have to pack it with foam and tape it up. Way to go Brad!

Digital Stamping

OH MY GOSH - have you tried "digital stamping"......I have no idea why but I was thinking it woudln't be as much fun. WHAT was I thinking? I love this image and easy as pie Amy sent it to me and I printed it off. I colored it a couple different times using my favorite Copics and then I even paper pieced one. You must hurry over and check out the new "digi" stamps from Amy at http://www.card-scents.com/ plus you can order her yummy scents to add to your cards. Now that I've played around a bit I am curious to know if you have tried this and what are your favorite tips and tricks.

Card Candyyyyyyyyyyyy

I finally get a chance to post the cards well card and tag I made for Angie using the gorgeous card candy that Tricia sent me. This was really a fun challenge. I love this folded flap card that I learned to do from using my scor-pal. I still had leftover card candy so I added the tag as well. Have a fun evening!

Broken Thumb

Wellllll my DS came home last night from football and said "hey mom check out my thumb it's broken"......I thought he was joking until he said "nope doesn't hurt at all" then I realized it's three times the size of normal, turning purple and numb. Yep probably is, so we went to the after hours clinic last night who promptly sent us over to the hospital for Xrays. Today we went to the Orthopedic Dr. who put a cast on him but the good news is he can still play football. I thought for sure he'd be done since he broke it big time, but apparently as long as it's in this cast he can play. He's much happier about this than I am. LOL. Well you know what we say "GO DAWGS"

Ghouls Ghosts and Goblins

Oh my goodness I think this was one of the first SU sets I had to have purchased. It's on FOAM and how long has that been? LOL. I still love this set though, it's so fun to use and color with copics. Have I mentioned lately I love my copics? Yep. I also love Halloween and Fall, it's my favorite season. I just wish we were not in the upper 70's again today. I could go with a crisp fall day about now! Ok maybe not tomorrow night while I'm sitting outside at my son's football game :) I know picky picky. ENJOY!

Beautiful

I wanted to take a photo of these gorgeous flowers that my DH brought me home. The colors are just wonderful fushia and pinks. I love them!

Weekend?

Where did the weekend go? I'm really not sure. I had very high hopes for World Card Making Day but...........I ended up out in the garage all weekend with my DH working on cleaning it out.
This summer I brought home a couple tables/chairs and a lamp and some things from my grandmas house and my DH has a really bad habit of bring home broken lawn tractors. Seriously we are now up to 5. All of them broken.........(I wish I was kidding not one runs)........
and we still had boxes from moving/combining households. So with the cooler weather coming and the fact that we have a 3 car garage and 4 vehicles......it sure would be nice to at least park 2 of them inside wouldn't it? NO I DID NOT take photos. It was seriously embarrassing. Every time someone would leave the garage doors open I'd freak and shut them. However we've made so much progress. Goodwill and Freecycle must love us lately. LOL.

I didn't get a chance to participate in any of the challenges this weekend but I did actually sit down at my desk and get 2 things made. Unfortunately I can't post them yet. AUGHGHG. I used my gorgeous card candy from Trishia and ended up being able to make 2 things with them for my next round partner which is my dear friend the crazy Angie. So that's why I can't put the pictures up yet LOL.

It was a gorgeous weekend here and we spent a lot of it in the fresh air. Hope you did too!

More Card Candy

This is the card candy I sent to my partner for our Card Candy Swap. It will be a lot of fun to see what she comes up with and then sends on to the next person. I think Fall is my favorite time to stamp, scrapbook and photograph. What is your favorite season?

Sparkly Pumpkins

My new dear friend Cathy sent me this beautiful sparkly pumpkin card. I just love it. We are trading cards each Wednesday this month and I can't wait to see what she sends next!

Fall Fun Accordian Card

If you have a Scor-pal then you've probably seen this card. I think it's going to be one of my new favorites. It was so easy with the Scor-pal and simple to make. I just love fall so I used a couple of my older SU sets and colored with my copics. Here are the directions for you! Enjoy have a HAPPY FRIDAY!

Wednesday Funny

We have the funniest comedian around here named Heywood Banks. If you ever have a chance to see him please do it! I saw him a few times and have even taken my son to see him. He's PG most of the time pretty funny and not dirty. This is one of my favorite songs by him. I hope you enjoy it!
