Wednesday Funny

Today I decided to share a photo of Emily. She is Olivers sister and when I went to get one of them somehow I came home with 2. How that happened I will never know but they both are so funny and have such different personalities. Emily is shy and quiet and slinks around the house hiding "unless" she wants to be petted and then she's quite pushy ;-) She also lays quite unladylike most of the time and it makes us laugh.

The video I'm sharing with you is hilarious and has great music with it. The dog in this looks like he just knows he's being filmed doesn't he? He's just adorable and holy smokes we never get that much snow here I bet it would be fun...once........

Template Tuesday

I had so much fun making this card because it's a great layout for an easy simple yet fun card. I know this one is a keeper! As soon as I saw the layout I knew I would use some of my "Rudolph and friends stamps" and then as I walked out of my office I thought I should shoot the photo on my "Rudolph" table LOL. I hope you enjoy it and if you try it please link back and let us know.

Please make sure you check out the other Tuesday Template Blogs!

Supergummy!

I am so thankful my friend Angie has a great sense of humor! She had some dental work last week that has been pretty extensive and I know that she appreciates my card making abilities so when Melinda came up with this lovely logo I knew I had to use it to make a card ;) Angie is so tough that she kept insisting she was going right back to work after it was done and both Melinda and I knew we wouldn't have been able to do it so that's why we started calling her "superwoman" which immedidately went downhill LOL. It's ok to insert the evil laugh here.......

Family

Sunday is a day for families. We spend a lot of time together through the week but Sunday we all sort of hunker down at home together. Because of that today I thought I'd share some of our recent family snapshots I took. My camera was not adjusting right that day so please bear with me. The first one is of my dh outside hanging my retro Santa and reindeer....he came up with that idea and they look like they are flying through the porch.....I love it! My DS put up a tree in our dining room so he could have colored lights in the house and people can see a tree from the street this way LOL. My DD is sitting in front of the tree in our family room and yep she missed out on all the decorating fun that day and still hasn't let me forget it. :) Whatever you and your family do today I hope you get a chance to do it together!

Have A Holly Jolly Christmas

Oh well there I go singing again.......trust me be glad you didn't hear it in person LOL. These super cute images were sent to me from Donna on a Diva yahoo group I am in. We did a Christmas With A Twist card swap and when she sent my card she included these images. I thought they were so funny that I decided to use them for a pink purple and blue challenge. I mean really who says Christmas has to be red and green? :) ENJOY your weekend!

Charlie Brown Christmas

Do you have a favorite Christmas Movie? I have several and they are all OLDIES. I grew up watching Charlie Brown, Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer and Santa Claus is Coming To Town. The Year Without Santa Claus worried me endlessly LOL. I loved the Meiser Brothers though, they always made me laugh. This year I decided to buy this Charlie Brown stamp at Michaels when it was half off (gotta love half off) and this was the first chance I had to play with it. I had no idea it would be so much coloring! I don't think I'll be making 50 of them for my cards but I have a new plan.....you'll have to "stay tuned".............in the meantime this is the first example of my new theme for the year. I hope you like it.

Thursday Tutorial

This week I thought I'd share a tutorial with you and it just happens to be one that I did this week :) I do believe I need some more practice getting modge podge to work on paper with less bubbles but I have to admit it was fun to make the frame. I think I'll be making some more frames but using different colors of paint and adding embellishments. If you make a frame please link back and let us know!

Wednesday Funny (Late)

Sorry I am running behind on my Wednesday Funny but when my friend Cathy sent this very cute clip I had to post it. I've always loved horses since I was a little girl. My grandfather trained trotters for many years so we always had lots of them around. Funny I never rode them until I was an adult though. LOL. Enjoy!

Altered Frame

Our challenge this week for the PinkPaperyStudios DT was to create a handmade gift for someone. I have to admit this was hard for me because while I love to give cards that I make I'm always worried over anything else I create. You know the old "is it good enough" thing LOL. So I usually don't make gifts for people, and when this challenge came up I thought "uh oh now what".............well after going to the trusty SCS Tutorials I decided this altered frame would be something I'd like to try. I'd seen other people do it and it always looked very pretty and I had high hopes I would be able to pull it off. Let me first say applying Modge Podge evenly and getting no bubbles on your paper is harder than it seems :) I was not thrilled with a couple spots but I tried to cover them hahahahahha. Anyway this is a family photo that was taken on Thanksgiving at my sisters house. Oh my gosh we had fun taking this. After a few shots we gave up and started making funny faces. I think I love those the best. Hope you are having a great Hump Day!

Tuesday Template Today!

I know I've said this before but this has to be one of my favorite things that Melinda and the girls came up with. I love doing these sketches each week. The actual sketch this week even came from "me". I know it's simple but you can do much with it. Today I used a POLLY PACKAGES image that was sent to me from Danni on the RandomActsOfKindness Group. She's from the chichiboulie fairie collection at StampingBella and I had a ton of fun coloring her. It's probably impossible to see but she does have white flock on the trim of her hat and her coat and I used a glitter pen on top of the ribbon. As Miss Em would say "hope you likey"......

Make sure to check out the other girls blogs today for Tuesday Template. Angie won't be posting as she had some pretty extensive dental work done so we all wish her a speedy recovery.

Christmas Nativity

I don't know if I am like most people or just some people but each year I have the hardest time with making Christmas Cards. I never can make the final decision on what to do until it's mid December and then I just feel pressure. This year I was determined to change that and when my SU friend Nancy had her Christmas card class I went hoping to get some good ideas. This was the last card we made during that class and one of my favorite things each year are Nativities so this card was the one I liked the best out of the class. Unfortunately it's probably too much to do for the amount of cards I have to send out but it sure is pretty. All products are SU on this card.

Please don't forget to VOTE for me! Thanks so much!

Happy Thanksgiving

A couple weeks ago my husband sent me a funny picture that I called the Turkey Train and it was taken by one of his model railroader groups. A few days ago my husband and my son were running errands and "happened" to go through the rail yard here locally.....( I say happened because it never happens unintentionally LOL) and actually saw some LOCAL New Haven turkeys running down the track. They thought it was pretty funny and took some photos. We figure they were picking up pieces of corn and grain that fall off the railroad cars as they pull into the rail yard. I guess if you want fresh turkey you know where to look now! Just go to your local rail road tracks. Dumb turkeys! We are going to visit my sister and her family today, I hope whatever your Thanksgiving plans are you have a wonderful day. ENJOY!

Thank You

I couldn't wait to use my PinkPaperyStudio cowgirl again. This week the DT was issued a challenge to make a thank you card, isn't she pretty? I just love these digi images. If you want to take a look at this line check them out here, they are wonderful! She was colored with my Copics and I used SU colored cardstock. The white cardstock is Georgia Pacific and it's my favorite. There is no pilling when you color and it doesn't bleed through as much as others. The DP is from MM's Funky Vintage Collection. The paisley paper just went hand in hand with my Cuttlebug Paisley Embossing Folder. I absolutely love Between Us Girls, don't you?

Wednesday Funny

The past couple weeks I introduced you to my adorable doggies, Sam and Lilly so this week I thought I'd introduce you to one of my "cats".......I say "cats" with all the love in the world, but they are seriously whacked. Oliver is our youngest cat and he's got quite a personality. He was supposed to be Isabelle and after a couple days I picked him up and realized she was a he.....life has never been the same since. He's exactly like a teenage boy, annoying and loving all at the same time. LOL. Since I've been home the past month he's taken up a part time job on you tube (just kidding but it looks like him) and I hope you enjoy it. We sure got a kick out of it.

Template Tuesday

It's that time of the week again, yep Template Tuesday. I have to admit that this is one thing I look forward to making each week. I love to follow sketches and see how they turn out. This week's sketch came to us from Maria and I reallllllllly wanted to play with my new Oval Nesties and it came out just a bit larger (LOL) so mine isn't exactly the same but I just love these snowmen from SU. They are an older set probably from 98-99 and still just as fun as ever to color. Please remember to take a peek at all of the Template Tuesday bloggers. P S - I've had some questions about voting for my card....yes please continue to vote each day until Dec 28th. You can vote for me every 8 hours I believe. Thank you so much for all the help I really do appreciate it.

Splish Splash I was taking a bath

Do you ever days where you just feel "blah" and not up to doing much? That would be the past couple of days. I feel like I'm freezing from the inside out and just plain tired. I did walk on my treadmill and do my bike but it took every ounce of spare energy I had. UGH. I feel like another hot bath is in my future......don't those feel good when you don't feel so well? This was a swap I sent out a couple weeks ago for http://www.treehousestamps.com/ and I think it's probably ok to post now. I love this pig he's just too funny. Yep I used my Brilliance Ink and my copics. I also added stickles to the bubbles and as usual used my cuttlebug folders and a couple kinds of ribbon. I can't live without those few items. What are some things you must use on your cards?

PS - if you get a chance please remember to vote for my Brickfish Scholarship Entry here.

Thanks and have a great day!

Happy Thanksgiving

This cute little House Mouse image was sent to me from Danni from the new yahoo group she runs called RandomActsOfKindnessStampersRUS and it's an image exchange group. I just love this image and Danni was kind enough to send me a few. Then she hosted a challenge to make a card using an image we had received from someone on the group. I had so much fun making this card because I just love HM and pumpkin pie :) I actually used something other than my copics to color it can you believe it? I used my Prisma watercolors instead. I know shocking. I need to get them out more often. I do love the way they color. I added some fall buttons and rafia to jazz it up a bit. PS - the winner of the challenge was Marcia and you can see her card here. It's very pretty! Have a wonderful weekend!

Sweet Miss Daisy *Heart* Cookies

I'm betting a lot of you read Anna Wrights blog Sassy & Sweet Notes.......and I love the fact that she writes about her animals on the farm as much as she does her cards. I spent every summer on my grandparents farm and it's such fun to relive those memories through her blog. She even posted a recipe that caught my attention and yesterday I finally had time to try it. Please check out the entire recipe here. It's called Sweet Miss Daisy Hearts Cookies and they are dog cookies. I have to tell you my dogs gave them two paws up as well. Sam has already figured out where they are and when I get anywhere near the cabinet he starts his hopping LOL. PS - my DH is now sure that I need to find a new part time job and go back to work hahahahahahah. If you know of anything please let me know :)

Wednesday Funny

A couple weeks ago I showed you a funny dog video and my dog Lilly aka Lillypoo. This week I decided to share my other doggie, Sam. He was so tiny when we got him we wanted a big name for him so Sam is short for Sampson. Little did I know he would grow up to be the worlds biggest Chihuahua. Seriously he's like 13 lbs and has really long legs. He's a very loving sweet dog, just a little "off" sometimes hahahahah. Ok so he hops a lot. Seriously he hops. I don't know why. He hates being outside and so he hops outside the door for us to let him in.

The video clip is quite funny, when I saw it I kept laughing and thinking he makes Sam look normal :) Oh poor Sam......he knows we love him.
