Template Tuesday 102709

Well this week it was my turn to create a sketch and as I told the girls it wasn't really a sketch but more of a "Halloween" theme. I loved these stickers I bought at Michaels and wanted to use some more of them. I hope you all have a happy and haunted halloween! Sorry about using my cell phone but I'm waiting on Amazon to ship my new camera battery. :)

Template Tuesday 10/13/09

First off let me apologize for not cropping my photo but my pc is somewhere in la la land at Best Buy for about 4 weeks! If that doesn't stink enough the one I'm using has no photo software or editing abilities. I took the photo with my cell phone so I'm doing what I can LOL. I don't know why I completely forgot to set this to post for yesterday but I did....LOL....can you tell my classes started again? :) I had SOMUCHFUNNNNN with this sketch. When I first looked at it I was sure Melinda was trying to get back at us for always using a circle on our sketches (which she doesn't like hahha) however............it backfired on her because I think both Maria and I loved it. Please give it a try and let us know what you think.

This week was my turn to create the sketch YAY! I think this one is totally fun and you will see the different ways you can use it considering Julia's is beautiful and flowery and mine is sooooo Halloween! Can you tell I am ready for fall? We are having really cool nights and some cooler days here in NE Indiana and I am LOVING it. Fall is my favorite season so I've been playing with my new halloween stamps and paper. This week our sketch came to us from Maria and when I first saw it I thought uhhhh ohhhhh. I mean I'm the first to admit I love circles but this one had me a bit overwhelmed hahahah. However once I took the chance and punched the first circle out it became a lot easier to figure out what to do. Not sure this is totally awesome but it is a fun card to make and all I could think of was candy while I was making it. I have no idea why but a little candy never hurt anyone now did it? LOL. I think I have candy corn on the brain. I only eat Brach's brand candy corn so while it's in "season" I broke down and bought a bag. It's so yummy. Whatever candy you like I hope you treat yourself to a piece or two this week!

Last Week's TT Card

Ok so once I had a chance to make the card I LOVED IT. What a fun idea! Great job Melinda I think this is one of my favorite layouts and I will definitely use it again :)

I am on a break this week from my classes so I'm hoping to get a lot of playing time with my stamps. I MISS THEM.

Sorry I haven't posted my card yet. I've had two finals today that I've been studying for all weekend and up through this morning. I have two more finals this week and then a whole week off and I reallllllllllllly need it. I'm showing the sketch that is for this week so you can all get a chance to see it and maybe play along but I won't have my card loaded until the end of this week. Thanks for being patient while I'm in school ;)

PS - didn't Melinda do a great job on the sketch? I am loving it.

I keep hoping that every day this week I'd have more time to get some stamping done but with school and my kids schedule I just don't have enough time. I get one day each week and that's about it. Well I'm only a couple days late getting these posted. Not bad considering I had midterm week at school LOL. This week our sketch came to us from Julia and I'm also showing you a scan of her card because it's sooooo much better than mine :) I liked the sketch a lot but nothing I did seemed to come out right so finally this was what I stopped at. I liked the green and black and white but that was about it. I'd love to see what you all do with it. Enjoy Julia's card, it's lovely!

So I really love this sketch, it's totally awesome and very useable for any type of card. It has so many options and I chose to do no stamping at all. Just some DP and flowers. I love it! Melinda you outdid yourself on the sketch it was so much fun.

Favorite Embellishment?

I'm just curious, what is your favorite embellishment to use for a card? Mine is either a flower or ribbon. If I don't put one of those on a card they looked naked to me. I'm trying to branch out so if you have a favorite item please share!
