I loved these stickers I bought at Michaels and wanted to use some more of them. I hope you all have a happy and haunted halloween! First off let me apologize for not cropping my photo but my pc is somewhere in la la land at Best Buy for about 4 weeks! I don't know why I completely forgot to set this to post for yesterday but I did....LOL....can you tell my classes started again? :) I had SOMUCHFUNNNNN with this sketch. When I first looked at it I was sure Melinda was trying to get back at us for always using a circle on our sketches (which she doesn't like hahha) however............it backfired on her because I think both Maria and I loved it. This week was my turn to create the sketch YAY! I think this one is totally fun and you will see the different ways you can use it considering Julia's is beautiful and flowery and mine is sooooo Halloween! Can you tell I am ready for fall? We are having really cool nights and some cooler days here in NE Indiana and I am LOVING it. Fall is my favorite season so I've been playing with my new halloween stamps and paper. This week our sketch came to us from Maria and when I first saw it I thought uhhhh ohhhhh. I mean I'm the first to admit I love circles but this one had me a bit overwhelmed hahahah. However once I took the chance and punched the first circle out it became a lot easier to figure out what to do. Not sure this is totally awesome but it is a fun card to make and all I could think of was candy while I was making it. I have no idea why but a little candy never hurt anyone now did it? LOL. I think I have candy corn on the brain. I only eat Brach's brand candy corn so while it's in "season" I broke down and bought a bag. It's so yummy. Whatever candy you like I hope you treat yourself to a piece or two this week!

Sorry I haven't posted my card yet. I've had two finals today that I've been studying for all weekend and up through this morning. I have two more finals this week and then a whole week off and I reallllllllllllly need it. Thank goodness the fans and dehumidifiers are gone!!!! They will be back next week to go over the duct work in the basement and decide on painting the ceilings..........which they better because they all have nice yellow stains! WOW who knew a toilet could cause so much trouble!

Tommorrow night cannot get here soon enough. The restoration company is supposed to come back and check the ceilings and floors to ensure the water is dried up. The noise level in here is very similar to standing on the runway at the Chicago Ohare Airport. We have a dehumidifier the size of a fridge on each level of the house and industrial size fans as well. My kitchen alone has two so no matter where you can you can't hear yourself think LOL. I am behind on finishing my MSB projects for tomorrow because I cannot even focus let alone think right now. Maybe we will get lucky and they will come early tomorrow to check. I'm really hoping it's ok and that they can take out this equipment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Flooded Celings Update

Well the water is soaked up but the celings between the second and first floor are really wet as well as the ceiling in the basement. Our light fixtures were just raining water it was so weird. The insurance company was out and are sending a contractor over later today to see what to do with the wet ceilings. What a freaking nightmare. Anyway due to my house issues I won't be particpating in Template Tuesday this week. I just can't fit it all in. I will be posting the sketch tomorrow so you can all take a look at it and hopefully play along. It's a great one and I know you will enjoy it. Hope you are all having a better Monday than we are hahahaha.

Well considering it's 827am we have had quite a morning. First off my son had drivers ed at 8am. At 715am he ran around the house yelling because he couldn't find his wallet which held his permit that he needed to take to class. Yes somehow this was my fault. Go figure. Then as that is happening his best friend Nick who is also in the class with him and stayed at our house last night....says Ami why is there water all over the bathroom upstairs? I run up the stairs and my bathroom is completely flooded, pouring water into the hallway.......then I hear my son who is on the first floor still looking for his wallet start yelling "MOMMMMMMMMMMMM water is coming out of the ceiling".............holy crap it's been a bad morning.

Now at this point my hubby who is in the shower and running late for work is freaked out because I ran in to our bathroom saying get out get out there is water all over. LOL. Poor guy! I leave him to suck it up with our shop vac, take both boys (yes he found his wallet) and run off to drivers ed. Now I'm home and staring at a huge mess. Can someone say please Monday be over soon?

Sam is finally growing up! For the first time in five years I was able to get a photo of Sam that wasn't blurry because he's always full speed ahead. He actually sat on his bed on the couch the other day and wasn't running all over like a terror, it was an exciting day LOL. When he was little I brought him home in the middle of winter and it was so cold and snowy that I litter trained him. He had his own litter box until that summer when he got big enough to go outside on his own. Sometimes I'm sure that's why he still prefers to be inside instead of outside after all this time.

Ok so my friend Judy told me she wants updates on my life besides my cards so for those of you who don't care just hang with me LOL. I'm attaching a video of my sons band concert last night. The band teacher is so much fun. He worked with the kids and taught them how to play on buckets last year, this year it's trash cans so enjoy! My son is wearing aqua and white stripes on his shirt. School is going very well just busier than I expected this quarter. We changed names so now our college is called Harrison College and I like it. I actually start clinicals next semester at the end of June so I will need volunteers to give injections and draw blood. Any takers? LOL. Andreas softball season is going very well for her and she loves it. I love that she's finally agreed to wear her hair in a ponytail LOL.

Oh it's my lucky day! We have a new player joining us each week for Template Tuesday and since this week is my sketch I am the lucky one who gets to host Julia's card. I just love her work and I sincerely hope she gets a blog soon :) I used to belong to a yahoo group with Julia and loved it when I'd get one of her cards in a challenge swap. I used a SNS Olivia stamp that I hadn't used in awhile and it's so cute. Don't you just love owls? We used to live on a very dead end road that was next to some woods and a cornfield and an owl lived near us. Every once in awhile the owl would come walk around in front of our house at night and it was so cool to watch, he was HUGE. I hope you have a wonderful week! My daughter is very excited to have her softball season started. They played their first game Saturday night and it was so close the entire game. We lost 12-11 but it was in extra innings thanks to Dre who caught the last out and put them in the extra inning. :)

WELCOME to May! I cannot wait for better and warmer weather. We've had so much cold and rainy days lately that I'm feeling blah. Today is another cloudy day but at least we can hope for no rain until tomorrow. I am looking forward to planting some flowers and putting out the new landscaping stuff but I don't do it until after Mother's Day because that's about when our weather seems to settle down.

It's that time of year isn't it? Do you remember your prom? Did you enjoy it and have a good time? I went my Junior year but not my Senior year but had a lot of fun because I went with a friend and there was no pressure except to have a good time. LOL. My twin nephews had their first prom this year so I was instructed by my sister to come and take photos :) I swear they are twins but are fraternal so they don't really look alike. And yes Dillon does occasionally smile just not in any prom photos. Some of you may remember that last year he was in a really bad accident over spring break and we were very glad that he had no major injuries. Dustin is the blonde and the youngest of the two. I think they both looked very handsome and I know my sister is very proud.

Happy Easter! He is risen! Hope you are all having a great day. This wonderful image is from Lindsay at PinkPaperyStudios and I think it's wonderful. I printed it on regular cardstock and colored it with my Copics. I used some fun polkadot papers that Amy sent me from PPS and then embellished with a flower, ribbon and some dots (again from Amy). Man I love those things :)

Another photo from Florida :) this one is at Universal and we had so much fun with Donkey. He told my son hey move out of the way you're in front of the money maker LOL. Then the whole time he was singing "I'm bringing Sexy back"......my daughter was cracking up. The whole crew does such a good job there.

I am so crazy busy trying to catch up from vacation and this is my first week back to school and this semester I have four classes instead of three so I didn't have a lot of time to work ahead. I whipped this one up in about 3 minutes LOL. Oh and this week it's my sketch so I probably should have done more but I just need more time aughghghghghg. Welcome back from Florida - we have snow/rain mixes here today. I can't really say the weather was all the great in Florida either though. Lots of rain in the morning and haze/fog throughout the day. No one got any sunburns! I have to show you my favorite picture. Yep it's my favorite one from all the shots I took. We were at a place called Silver Springs in Ocala. My dad used to take us there as kids and I took my husband there two years ago when he and I visited Florida. This year we took the kids as well and it was a very nice break from Universal and all the lines. If you ever get a chance to visit, don't pass it up. It's a wonderful place to learn about alligators and ride the glass bottom boats and see how the spring originates. My family was searching for alligators but what we didn't know was as soon as we got down the bridge there were a ton of them waiting to be fed. We bought the food (1.00 a bag) and fed them. They don't stress out too much there I'll tell ya LOL. The food is a mixture of chicken, vegetables and vitamins seriously looks like poop. Doesn't smell so good either but they sure love it. We had a really good day there. *** I'll be posting tomorrow for Template Tuesday so stay tuned!

Today is a sad day for me, it's my last day to be on the Flutterby Team but you know sometimes you have to rearrange your schedule and April is going to be a very busy month for me. Thankfully Danni has been gracious enough to allow me to play again when time permits. Today we had a sketch challenge from Maria and it's a great sketch. This week our sketch came to us via Kimmie and I'm sad to say this is her last week with us. She has so much going on that it was time for her to cut back and I have to say I understand completely. I was a little at a loss on this sketch so I rotated it and ended up using it as a thank you for my daughters basketball coach. She did such a good job this year with the girls and I know we all appreciated her very much. *** If you don't have any copics you should at least try the skin colored one.......just a recommendation from me LOL. I love my copics.

Well it's my "finals week" for my first semester at school and I'm very relieved to have made it! I had a paper due in one class and two finals to complete this week. Tomorrow is my Med Term and Thursday is Anat Physiology. I'm more worried about that one but I know it will be fine. I've been reviewing and studying a lot lately. Next week is Spring Break and we are taking a vacation and it's MUCH needed at this point LOL. My blog will be on hold next week so I hope you'll be patient and take some time with me to enjoy yourself! You deserve it!

You know I always mention it's important to laugh each day...well when I got this image in the mail I did laugh. I had memories of when Elmo came out on Sesame Street and then my sister telling me about the Alphabet Elmo which I then went crazy looking for in the stores and yes I mean Alphabet Elmo not Tickle Me Elmo. This one came out the year prior and my daughter just LOVED it but once he became so popular we couldn't take him anywhere for fear someone would take him. Anyway I received this random image from Danni who sent it for our monthly image challenge and I had so much fun thinking of all the Elmo things and also just making something outside of my normal images. Do you have any superstitions about Friday the 13th? I forgot all about it until someone mentioned it on the radio LOL so I suppose I don't. Plus I own a black cat so I better not have any issues with it :) Today I wanted to share some really cool paint chips I received in a swap. I love when I get items from Zindy because she goes above and beyond the norm. Check out what she made using the paint chips we exchanged......aren't they fabulous? I'll have a hard time wanting to use them on anything LOL.

Happy Thursday! Wish me luck today I have a big test in my Med Term class and it's probably our last one before the finals. I'm getting very tense towards the end of this semester. Maybe once it's actually finals week I'll settle down :) I'd love to just be able to relax and settle down with a good magazine or book right now so this new digi image from PPS just jumped out at me. Remember the big pink rollers we used to use sometimes to have the biggest hair on the planet? LOL oh the 80's don't you miss them? LOL. I included a close up trying to get the new Shimmer product to appear better but not sure it's as sparkly/shimmery on the blog as it is in person. You really will love it if you get some and the prices are really reasonable. I love using it can you tell? Hahahha.

Today from our PPS Design Team we were to use this sketch and one of the new images to be released soon. We also had to use pink, turquoise and black. Easier said than done I'll say LOL. I kept thinking it would be easy to use that combo but I admit I struggled with it. You know it went like this........maybe I should have used lighter pink, maybe I should have used more black.......LOL. It turned out ok in the end I think :) I hope you'll try this sketch it's really fun and easy to whip something up using it. Today our challenge was to use a flutterby with flowers so I dug out my old but so wonderful "foam" SU set to use. I just love this set and am glad to have it but sure hate the foam hahahah. I used the new "shimmer" from PPS found here to color it and in person it's such a soft pretty shimmer/sparkle. I am having a hard time capturing it with my camera but trust me it's pretty to look at. Oh my lordy I did not like the way my card turned out.....I think this is a great sketch overall, it just did not turn out for me and since it's the last minute I didn't have time to get another one done. Where have I been? Let's see we are now done with wrestling since my son injured his back and is now in Physical Therapy and just plain grumpy. My daughter still is going strong with her basketball program and we won't be done until March 22nd. I'm really tired LOL. I have two weeks to go until Finals week so I'll be pretty tied up the next couple weeks studying and where will I find a spare minute? I have no clue but I'm looking for some. :)

I hope you all had a chance to visit PPS and see the new images. This is one of my favorites, I don't drink beer and I sure can't imagine drinking green beer but it sure looks fun. I have discovered a new product from PPS and I LOVEEEEE it. It's called Shimmer and you just paint it on to whatever you color. I added some of the moss colored shimmer to the green on her beer and her shirt. It's so easy to use and I hope you try it soon, you can check out all the colors and sizes here.

Digi Image Info for Sneak Peek PPS 030709

I thought I'd share with you some quick information on the "Digi Images" from PPS. When you purchase an image it will be sent to you in a JPG format. All you need to do is open the attachment, right click and select "save picture as"......then I open mine up and put a few on the page so I can either play with colors, paper piece or just decide how I want to decorate the image. Paper piecing is easy as pie as well, just print on your printed paper and cut out and adhere to image on white cardstock that you already printed. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask any of us or email Amy herself ok? Have fun shopping! PS - yep this is a new image isn't she fabulous? I think she's very ME right now LOL. All I do is read my textbooks these days :)
